The application process for PEAK September 2025 enrollment is conducted online and the application can be made between November 12 and December 10, 2024 (Japan Standard Time/JST).

| Pre-Application Check | By October 4, 2024 Applicants should contact the PEAK Undergraduate Admissions Office if they are not sure about their eligibility. |

| Application Period | November 12 - December 10, 2024 Applicants should submit the application materials/information during this period. Applicants must choose one of the two programs (Japan in East Asia or Environmental Sciences) when applying. They will be evaluated based on the program they choose. |
| First Screening：Document Review | January 2025 Applicants are initially assessed on their educational achievements and their application essays. Reviewers also take into consideration the evaluations and other submitted materials. |
| Interview Invitation | Late January 2025 Applicants receive the result of the first screening. Those selected are invited to attend an online interview. The applicants must reply promptly to confirm their attendance at the interview. |
| Second Screening： Interview | February - early March 2025 During the interview, the applicants may be asked to provide written answers to questions given by the interviewers. ES applicants will be required to take an online mathematics test before their interview. |
| Acceptance | March 28, 2025 Places for the PEAK programs at the University of Tokyo are offered to successful applicants |
| Enrollment Decision | May 7, 2025 Deadline for registering applicants’ intent to be enrolled in PEAK. Administrative procedures for preparation to study in Japan begin. |
| The First Package: Enrollment Procedures | Mid May 2025 Instructions about enrollment procedures are sent to those who have registered their intent to accept a place at the University of Tokyo |
| Payment of Admission Fee | Late May 2025 Students given an unconditional offer are asked to pay the admission fee. Late August 2025 Students originally given a conditional offer and admitted on the submission of the final scores/grades are asked to pay the admission fee. |
| The Second Package: Orientation Information | Late July 2025 Instructions about orientation and enrollment registration are sent to students. |
| Submission of the Final Scores/Grades | By August 19, 2025 Students given a conditional offer must submit their final scores/grades once they become available. |
| Enrollment | September 1, 2025 The University of Tokyo (PEAK) academic year commences. |
Application Fee
JPY5,000
The applicant should make a payment of the application fee by 10:59 pm on December 10, 2024 (Japan Standard Time) before you submit your application. No late payment will be accepted.
